Project Management for the Creative Industries

Hello, and Welcome to my blog!

This is a blog that brings together seemingly disparate items and concepts, and tries to make sense of them

-- "story of my life" you might reply, in your best Betty Davis imitation voice and gestures.

Yes, it's true, we are all 'on the road to find out' in one way or another . . . But this blog hopes to focus on some useful and amusing nuggets of wisdom --

-- interspersed with some embarrassing but educational personal experiences or professional observations, that have helped me to understand that there might be a unique job description out there in life --

--which for purposes of clarity I have decided to call "Project Management for the Creative Industries".

My motivation for inventing this label and career classification is simple -- it probably best describes my life and my (at times) conflicting resume of jobs and employment, including my work as a volunteer and community activist.

My other motivation is that I am a scholar, and while there are many types of scholars, most have one thing in common: Curiosity.

I'm curious about how I might bring together my experiences and mistakes and lessons in life to apply them in something that could be useful (or at least amusing) to others, because, well, I like the attention, if I'm honest with you.

I'm also an artist who needs a regular outlet, and I find it useful to conduct my experiments before a real or imagined audience, because it gives me a sense of validation and the element of feedback that allows me to form and shape my artistic (and scholarly) output.

So, once again, welcome to my new blog - comments are welcome, but they are moderated, so the key guideline is 'Be nice' and 'Be yourself'.

And if you can't be yourself, then be someone you imagine yourself to be, and maybe this blog with be helpful at assisting you to manifest this imagined self, especially in case your imagined (or real) self attains to conduct, for money or love, any aspects of

"Project Management for the Creative Industries".
